Worley will hold Kindergarten Registration on Tuesday, April 8, from 8:30-11:30 am and from 12:30-2:30 pm.  New Kindergtarten students will be able to tour the school and visit a Kindergarten classroom.  Parents will need to bring the following items with them when registering their child:  proof of residency, birth certificate, shot record, any custody papers, and social security card.

Conferences will be held on February 19 and February 21 from 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM.  Schedules will be sent home with students.  It is extremely important for parents, students, and teachers to meet and discuss as a team the progress in learning.  If, for some reason, you cannot attend the Conference with your student, please contact your child's teacher to re-schedule.  Child care will be provided by our Sixth Grade Leadership Team.  PTA will also be having a Book Fair each evening.

Worley is proud to announce that three of our students have been selected as winners in the Stark County Family Court/Character Counts Artwork Contest.  A ceremony will be held to honor them on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 4:30 PM at Family Court.  Congratulations to:

On Thursday, December 13, Kindergarten and Third Grade students will present their Holiday Program.  Students are to arrive at 6:15 PM.  Please do not arrive any earlier.  The program will conclude at 7:15 PM.  Please come to enjoy this wonderful event!

Congratulations to Mrs. Mann!  She is Ohio's All Star Teacher as selected by the U.S. Department of Education in Washington D.C.  We are very proud of her accomplishments.

We also celebrate a sixth grader, S'reane Parks.  She was Worley's "Person of Character" and represented our school at the Stark County Character Counts event.  Congratulations!

Thursday, October 11, we will celebrate a night of fun and games with our families.  We will meet in the gym for a presentation by our Kindergarten students.  From there, travel to your child's classroom to engage in math and reading activities.  Each Worley student who attends will receive a Worley Rocket book sack.  An adult must accompany the student.  We'll see you from 6:30-7:30 PM for a great evening!

On Thursday, May 10, at 6:30 PM, we will have a special Memorial Day Celebration.  We will also honor USMC Private Heath Warner - a former Worley student and McKinley graduate.  Music will be performed by our Kindergarten and First Grade students.  Mayor Creighton will be our featured speaker.  We welcome our entire community to attend this evening.  A reception will follow immediately after the program.

At the end of this month, students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will take the Ohio Achievement Tests.  The schedule is as follows:

PTA will sponsor the annual Worley Talent Show on Thursday, March 22, 2007.  Bring the family for a night of excitement!  The event will start promptly at 6:30 PM in the Worley gym.  See you there!

"Spin, Pop, & Boom!"  Science is fun!  Thursday, February 1, PTA will sponsor Mad Science for a night of excitement and fun.  It all takes place at 6:30 in the cafeteria.  Join in the fun!  See you there!
